在单请求设置中(一次一个请求)epoll_wait 总是阻塞并强制上下文切换。客户端(在本例中为 ab)必须接收并处理响应并发送下一个请求,然后服务器再次被唤醒,epoll_wait 返回挂起的套接字。服务器生成响应的速度不会改变此行为,因为客户端总是在发送下一个请求之前等待服务器响应。

在多请求设置中,epoll_wait 是否强制上下文切换取决于服务器的性能。如果服务器应用程序速度较慢,则下一个请求已经在等待的可能性更高;在这种情况下,不需要上下文切换,因为 epoll_wait 可以立即返回。上下文切换代价高昂,并且可能需要比下一个请求到达浪费时间更长的时间。
